July 20 - 26, 2008 RAGBRAI
My 10th Ragbrai and wow, what an adventure. Never thought I would come out of Ragbrai with my head shaved off. It was a good year, for me, it was not too hard. Took the new carbon fiber bike and just flew. Danny Garza came for his 2nd and my Friend Brian and Rick for their first Ragbrai and also Jon did his first one. Great times

June 1 2008 - Lake Tahoe Bike Ride
Another Century, my 10th and I would have to say one of my best ever 100 miles bike ride ever. At top elevation of 7200 ft, I felt perfect. Never bonked or hit the wall. Had a consistent energy all the way throughout the ride.

October 7, 2007 - Chicago Marathon, the hottest in record
Here we are at another marathon. Chicago Marathon 30th anniversary will be one for the records. It was a record breaking heat of 88 with the heat index well above 90s. Runners were dropping like flies. I had 2 pass out in front of me. Another person almost vomit on my shoe. I was fine, but very slow and low on energy after mile 8. I kept on going until mile 17, when they told us that the marathon is closed and to start walking. I was disappointed because I knew I could have finished it, but at a very slow pace. There is always next year. I am proud of my runners who did make it to the finish line. Congrats to all.

July 22 - 28 2007 - RAGBRAI (Bike across Iowa, 487 miles)
Another great year at RAGBRAI. Met lots of interesting people this year. Didn't get much training in before RAGBRAI but as alwaysI made it through. RAGBRAI is a 500 mile bike ride across the state of Iowa. They change the route every year, so it is always different. This year was my 9th year riding it.
June 21 - 30 2007 - Alaska Trip
Had a lot of great fun in Alaska. Ran the Mayors Marathon in Anchorage in a decent time and went on to a terrific 4 day/rafting trip up near Denali on a river called Chulitna with some great people. On my last day there, I took a float plane to see some bears feast on Salmon. Saw over a dozen bears. I also saw a bear fight, caught the last of it on video. June 8, 2007 - The Great Midwest Relay
Team Dodge on the Great Midwest Relay 2007 (190 run from Madison to Chicago)
On June 8th and 9th we started our long distance relay from Madison to Milwaukee Wisconsin to Chicago. 190 miles 12 runners, each running 3 legs for a total of 11 to 18 miles each. It took us about 26 hours to complete, we came in #46 out of 115 teams. Not bad for our first try. Check out the pictures on the left side menu.
